2006 Titan brakes and rotors replaced at 24000 miles. Truck still does not stop. Took the truck back for a recall and was told that the truck needs a total brake job - pads and rotors. I told the dealer mechanic that I just had it done 2 months ago and wanted to see the problem. They would not let me in the garage and just wanted me to sigh a paper that I refused to have the work done. I took the truck back to the garage that did the work and they took me in and showed me the brakes. There was nothing wrong at that time. The dealer wanted to do work that did not need to be done.
I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN. Why would they do that if they didn't already know there was a problem with that year and model truck brakes? Now at 54000 miles the truck needs a total brake job again. I contacted Nissan and was told that it was my problem and that 20000 miles on brakes was normal. They told me that the truck won't stop because of the brakes. Even with good brakes the truck does not stop dead no matter how hard you apply the brakes. This is the second complaint that I made with Nissan. The first complaint was that the dealer wanted to do work on my truck that it did not need and the second was that the same problem happened again.
I talked to Tommy from Nissan consumer affairs case # 15440248. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK NEW AT KEN POLLACK NISSAN IN WILKES-BARRE PA. IF YOU GO TO KEN POLLACK ASK TO SEE THE PROBLEM BEFORE YOU LET THEM DO THE WORK............ DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GET HURT OR DIE BEFORE NISSAN WILL ADDRESS THE PROBLEM?
