After replacing exhaust manifolds, radiator, oil pressure sensor, oil cooler gasket, air actuators for Defrost/Floor Heat and A/C, seat belt and condenser fan recall, fuel relay, multiple warped rotors and wimpy calipers, both rear axles, bearings and seals, emergency brakes, and speed sensors on my 2004 Titan SE I totally lost my religion when 2 weeks before Christmas the transmission decided to quit working. After paying over $4,000.00 to replace it with a new one I am convinced I have paid more to keep this truck running than I paid for it in 2007.
The first symptom for the transmission was reverse would only work when the engine was cold. After driving a while it would not work again until it cooled down. I took it to the dealer to see if it could be a faulty valve or electrical issue. After being quoted $5,900.00 for the dealer to replace it I decided to take it elsewhere. The grin on his face when he gave me the quote about cost me some jail time.
