Summary

INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT DTC P161D STORED IN THE ECM SERVICE INFORMATION DTC P161D (IMMOBILIZER) will not cause: ï?· The MIL to turn ON. ï?· The Remote Engine Start to become inoperative. ï?· The â??No Key Detectedâ?? message to appear. ï?· An impact to any of the vehicleâ??s functions or performance. If other DTCs are stored with P161D, perform the diagnosis and repair procedures, outlined in the ESM, for the other DTCs first. ï?· After the other DTCs have been resolved and P161D does not clear, proceed with the diagnosis and repair, outlined in the ESM, for DTC P161D.
