I have always owned Nissan's. I had a family member that worked for Nissan. I have never had any complaints. I sold my 2010 Nissan Versa(which had no problems also) I wanted to get something a little newer, hoping I would drive it longer. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Sentra from Anderson Nissan in Lake Havasu Arizona in Feb. 2024 for 12,000.00 cash. This car is a lemon! Unforunately, not according to AZ law. I have purchased a car from this dealership back in 2017 and purchased the extended warranty for an additional 2,000.00. I never used it. And was pretty confident I wouldn't have to with this vehicle either.
WRONG! I soon learned about the faulty AEB( Automatic Emergency Braking System) and the MALFUNCTION WARNING. According to several class action lawsuits against Nissan Motor Corp. of North America. None of which are here in Arizona. And Nissan refused to issue a recall of these potentially dangerous faulty radar sensors that operate the AEB system. I can be driving, no problems, nothing but myself and the road. And the Malfunction Warning Light engages and renders the car unoperational. It doesn't brake for me, however it will no longer allow me to accelerate. According to the directions in the owners manual. It can be disengaged by a few easy steps. Sometimes it works for a while. And lately, not at all. I am so upset! I wish I had looked up this year and model before I bought it. Nissan won't issue the recall. This puts the burden of repairs on the dealers and the consumers. Lame!!!!
