CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2017 Nissan Sentra has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data from the earlier model years in this same 7th generation Sentra.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Sentra owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

I just got this car, I like the design, and the features, and it is a good deal. Unfortunately I am noticing that there was a vibrating noise when I accelerate on the highway and the car vibrates a bit, from under the hood. It happens around 20-40 MPH range, especially 1-2nd gear. It is super irritating, it's a crunchy/grinding/vibrating noise. I don't know if this car is a piece of crap or what, it doesn't even have 2000 miles on it, is barely two months old, and I got it brand new. It's not the first time I had this problem, the noise is coming from the middle area of the front, by the gear shifter, it comes from under the hood. It happens when I step on the gas, and then stops when I take my foot off the gas. I already had it fixed for having the SAME problem on the left side of the car. Dealer told me it's a manufacturing defect. Well seems like there's more than one "manufacturing defect" here.
