This is my fourth Nissan and I love them. 3 were Sentras and my first was an Altima. I have noticed this problem for a while but thought it was just a fluke. I have been in and out of the hospital since dec of 2018. I have lots of medical problems since I have had 2 strokes. When my car lost power coming home Christmas night, I had to turn the car off and then restart it to get home several times. My sister tried it out and the same thing happened to her. She took it to Nissan and then said they were having trouble with the CVTs on these vehicles. My car has 117460 miles on it. I need for it to be fixed, please. I use it to go back and forth to the doctor since my sister has a truck that I can not get into. Since Nissan knew this was going to happen, it should be fixed for nothing.

I have reported to the Nissan Dealership where I purchased this vehicle brand new. I left the dealership with 3 miles on the vehicle. I inquired about my warranty which went out at 72,000 miles (Dealership) Nissan Corporate said 60,000 miles either way the warranty is out on my vehicle. I had the car towed to the Nissan dealership for an inspection at Nissan's Corporate office request and the inspection revealed that my car needs a new transmission smh.

I recall driving the speed limit at 35 the car accelerated to 70 miles out of nowhere it took the E-brake to slow it down. I was traveling on the highway as well speed limit is 65mph my car is only able to do 35mph and it loss power with a semi behind me and my son in the backseat (I felt like we were going to die that night in this car) But I made it over to the emergency lane. I can be driving normally within the city limits and i will watch my rpm gauges bounce from 2-4rpms rapidly. I have turned out from Walmart into the roadway and the car rolled forward very slowly and 3 cars barely missed my car to avoid an accident (This car is dangerous). Yes, my miles are high but my job was an hour away from my home so my commute was big each day.

I am very disappointed because I purchased brand new to avoid having costly vehicle repairs. I felt the car would be dependable but needless to say my car loan has outlasted my vehicle that I pay on each month on time, have never missed a payment since the purchase of it in July 2015. I currently board the bus with my son to get him to school or an Uber while I'm still paying my car note and car insurance on a car I can't use nor drive......

I'm disgusted. I just want my transportation that's it. My son is disabled and has appointments that I can't make and we have to cancel, that's not fair to either of us. Someone please help. Nissan, please help me.

I am three years into owning my 2015 Nissan Sentra. It has been back to the dealer more times than I can count on my two hands! I purchased the extended warranty as a precautionary measure because I know cars have issues sometimes, but this one has had the same issue so many times I am fed up! The transmission has been reprogrammed and then replaced, and then reprogrammed again!!

Today I was on the freeway going 60mph and it started surging back and forth for no reason!! This is the same thing it did last time before they said they replaced it. I'm scared that once I pay it off I am going to be stuck with a POS transmission and no vehicle!! What do consumers do when this happens? I am a single mother and don't have time, money or additional resources to deal with this problem. That's why I invested in A NEW CAR to begin with! Please Help!!!
