CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2017 Nissan Sentra has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Sentra owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

2014 Nissan Sentra the air is blowing hot air and its hard to believe that a 6 year old car needs a new compressor. Its Winter so I'm trying to save to have it fixed.
This car is on its 4th battery so Nissan has some serious issues with these cars and they think I'm stupid because I'm a woman. The engine shakes when you are at a red light and they told me this when I first got the car that this was normal for that particular car.
I will never buy a Nissan again, I thought they were good cars. Women are tired of getting treated like idiots1
Update from May 3, 2020: I have yet to have my compressor replaced on this 2014 Nissan, I don't have the money.
The car has always shaken at a red light and it always is like its going to die. I bought this car in 2015 and it only has 73,000 miles on it. Such a shame because I was always told Nissans were good cars.
I'm very disappointed in this car.
