I called about our warranty to find out that our dealership lied about the extended 100,000 mile power train on this car. We bought the car brand new. The dealerships maintenance tech tells us that a lot problems have been reported for the transmission failing after it meets the 60,000 mile mark. I called the manufacturer on this problem. What I was told is that the dealership finally agreed to cover the cost for labor, but I would have to pay for everything else. I have 4 Nissan vehicles right now and the Sentra having the most miles and the oldest. When we were deciding on our vehicles we did our research and now I wonder if we made the right decisions. I have a 2014 Altima, 2015 Altima, and a 2015 Versa Note. We were just considering buying a 2016 Nissan Titan, but now I am considering going back to Chevy or Chrysler product.

The vehicle operates suspiciously upon start up and as the vehicle proceeds to reach 30mph a “heavy “clunk” sound originates from the under carriage of the auto; and upward to 35 mph. This has been discussed with the Dealership we purchased the Sentra from and they told us it does not need any attention and that the “clunk” we are hearing/feeling is the anti-lock braking system resetting itself. Furthermore, the “down-hill” rev of the CVT (continuously variable transmission) tach’s out beginning at 3800 and does not decrease to transfer. This does not occur just on decline. It also happens intermittently during travel on level road. We are not satisfied with the purchase of this Nissan Sentra. Apart from the CVT there is a list of peculiar items that seems minor in caparison. However, this is the start.
