Bought my 2012 Nissan Sentra brand new and for the most part it's been a really good car. I've done the usual maintenance. Typically the car drives fine. I drive 20+/- to and from work Mon - Fri and never experience any problems. Fast forward to spring/summer months... every time I drive the car to the next city, from Santa Fe, NM to Albuquerque, NM, I experience acceleration problems. Now driving south to Albuquerque everything fares well, including driving around the city.
Now coming home, north to SF, is a totally different situation. Typically I can drive 3/4 of the way and when I take the off ramp and come to a stop the car "hesitates." I step down on the gas pedal but doesn't feel like it gets gas. Eventually the car returns to if's normal self.
Today I was making that trip and coming home, everything seems fine. The temperature is about 85+ degrees outside and I've been driving for about 45 minutes. I approach this fairly large hill going about 80mph and halfway up, my car starts to slow down. I press on the gas pedal and nothing happens... I drop down to about 60mph. This continued until I was almost close to home... this is unusual. Now keep in mind I can make this same exact drive during the fall/winter months and it never happens. I just recently drove this car, in April, to Durango, CO, coming back through Farmington, NM ending up in Albuquerque, NM, and never had any problems, including the drive north towards home (Santa Fe, NM). Any suggestions?
