After issue with the transmission, went back and researched troubles in the Sentra and found that there were problems with the transmission as far back as 2003, my boss had one. Read that around the 75,000 mile mark, the hesitation in the CVT transmission when giving it gas starts. The problem is worse when the weather is hot, gives you more problems. My wife's car, the issue started at around 78,000 miles. My daughter has a 2012 Sentra with over 55,000 miles, waiting for that one to crap out, no extended warranty on that one.

we bought the sentra and as soon as we got on the freeway were we could really test it out it appeared that the transmission was slipping and would not catch up to the rpm, we contacted the dealer and was told this was normal with the new electric type transmissions, so we continued to drive the car. only to find we are afraid to jump out in traffic or cross the road not knowing if we will make it across the road or not in time, (so it has to be clear with distance).

sometimes we will step on the gas and the transmission will disperse the power like it is design and go like hell and of couse by now we don't expect the add response and have to correct for the burst of power. is this a problem a just a bad design in a transmission. we can be at a dead stop or traveling at about 1500-2000 rpm and step on the gas and go to 6000 rpm and the car moves however it takes sevsral seconds for the car to pick up speed and the transmission sound like its slipping and does not repond while the engine appears to be winding out untill you let off the gas. any one can help this would be great.
