I have a 2011 Nissan Sentra and the year right now is 2014. Car is just 3 years old. Today I took to Midas because I heard all kinds of banging and rattling under the car and the exhaust sounded extremely loud. They place the car on lift and I got to see what was going on. The muffler/exhaust busted off at the flange. They suggested that I replace the muffler instead of having sleeve added and welded. I didnot want to modify the car in any way so I took their suggestion. Of course I didn't have the funds for this so I had to open an account to have car repaired, could not take all that noise Plus, the car failed inspection a few days prior to this because of the exhaust!

I have seen other complaints on line about the same thing, muffler busting off at the flange. This is obviously a problem for Nissan but appears nothing is being done about it. There is no reason why I should have to pay for a new muffler/exhaust at all! This is a defect, this is a problem, this needs looked into and taken care of.
