When I went to get my oil changed the mechanic came to me and said my hood could not be totally secured. The tension cable was not catching so the hood was not totally latched. The cable had broken from the factory harnessed tension clamp. It looks like a polymer formed bracket that just failed. I called Nissan they said to bring it in but it is not the fault of the company because my car is ten years old. I ask them why would you put a 400 lb torqued cable in a polymerized harness. The oil change mechanic said that the usual fix was a zip tie or a metal clamp with a rubber cushion drilled and bolted to the frame.
