I can tell you this from experience, you will end up purchasing a NEW
ENGINE!!! I bought my 2005 Nissan Sentra brand new, 8 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I am now on engine #2! The first engine was giving a P0303 code (cylinder #3 misfire). It said that it could have been a spark plug issue. Well we tried changing ALL the spark plugs but one of them was so tight in there that it couldn't be removed. Not 2 days after the 'check engine soon' light came on, my car completely shut down on the interstate! The car only had 52,000 miles and this was LAST YEAR! So I had a friend that was a car repair-man and he was able to get me an engine with less than 24,000 miles. Now the SAME THING IS HAPPENING AGAIN!!!! I have put less than 27,000 miles on engine #2 and I'm getting the same issue (cylinder #2 misfire)! If you search the net for 2005 Nissan Sentra engine issues, you will find HUNDREDS of people that have this same issue, the engine seems to 'go-out' after about 50,000 miles. For this reason, I will NEVER buy another Nissan AGAIN! I have had nothing but problems with mine! I drive over 20 miles each day to work, plus have doctor's appointments in New Orleans (about 75 miles one way). All of my driving is done to and from work, and this is what I get? TWO blown engines?!?
