The contact was able to pull over and waited for the engine to cool down; after which the vehicle was able to operate normally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the cooling fan had failed. The dealer was contacted and stated that they were aware of the failure; however, the parts needed to repair the vehicle was not available. The manufacturer was contacted however, the contact had not received a callback for assistance. The failure mileage was 70,000.

The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the fan was on backorder. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
