I have a 2014 Rogue Select that is apparently based on my vin number not part of a recall campaign by Nissan. Vehicle is jerky & lost of power taking off and speed above 70. I reported my issue to The NHTSA, The Federal Trade Commission and my States Attorney General all suggest by NHTSA. My car that I actually loved until this one problem of my vehicle loosing power going up a mountain at 70 mph on I-81 on our way to MS to visit our Son. We stopped and one mechanic suggested replacing the spark plugs as they were a little dirty, so I did and it actually helped to improve my gas mileage but 2.5 hours later down the road the problem came back.
Stopped at a dealer and after I explained to them what problem I was having they test drove it and told me I needed a new transmission and they wouldn't even trade it in since they said the transmission was bad ( without actually looking in the transmission RIGHT ). I called Nissan Corp. and they refused to help with the problem. After visiting this web site and others I found there is a recall on some Rogues based on the VIN number. After reading all the issues I then realized the bucking, jumping, rough acceleration all those issues I have from day one were not just a characteristic flaw but and actually problem with these vehicles. I'm disappointed that NISSAN won't step up and take responsibility for there transmissions that they know are defective.
