traveling normally - merged into eastbound traffic during rush hour onto a 4 lane (1-way) highway; moved over into next lane to the left and lost the ability to accelerate (no gas pedal); Check engine light and VDC (traction light) came on. Rolled to a stop (in traffic!) and hit the 'flasher button". Called 911 - good grief. After 30 minutes, I was able to push the pedal to the floorboard and the best I could do was 42 miles per hour for 14 miles. Both lights never went off. Took the vehicle to the dealership of purchase (car is still under warranty, and has never missed ANY of the recommended checkups and maintenance, to which was taken every time to the same dealership). Diagnostics was stated to be that the wiring of the manually added (not factory added) Cruise Control wiring was faulty. Had to imagine that 1.4 months after install of the cruise control (which I have yet to use) is causing an issue. *read several other complaints about the acceleration issue - specifically in the 2013 models. ~~~ Had to pay the deductible since the 'stated issue was not' under warranty. Still unclear if this really is the issue.
