NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! PAID OUT OF POCKET. THIS HAPPENED ON A CORNER OF THE ROAD WITH NO WARNING A SEMI JACKKNIFED AND ALMOST HIT AND KILLED ME. WAY PAST UNSAFE. MULTIPLE CALLS TO NISSAN. THEY ARE A JOKE.
fUEL PUMP DIED NO WARNING PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT ON ICE. SLID KEPT FROM HAVING AN ACCIDENT. DIED NO WARNING. STUCK IN SUB FREEZING TEMPS FOR WELL OVER 4 HOURS. FIXED BY NISSAN
This was a very bad time for a failure like this. A very large semi was less then 1 foot away from us. This was in heavy traffic and to have a car lose power was frighting. Police came would not let us stay on road. They helped us get a tow to a Nissan dealership. This should not happen to a car that has not had its first oil change.
There is a recall, but we are told it does not cover our car. Towing was $175 to be paid on spot. I certainly do not want to take another trip in this car. Up to this point we had no trouble with car. Now I am nervous when I drive. Fuel pump was replaced.
Update from May 9, 2015: since I wrote you I started looking up old and other peoples troubles. It seems complaints like mine have been around since 2010. This is a very dangerous fault and it looks like they don't really want to admit it until this year. Some of them happened at about the same mileage as mine. My wife and I could have been killed if it wasn't for the skill of the truck driver. When I asked their consumer person about getting rid of this car, they said everything is based on the service record of car. As I said before this car has not even had its first oil change.
