First the automatic door lock fails because the plastic gears inside are stripped. Got that replaced.

Next the door handle does not open the door from inside or outside because the ball at the end of the cable release that activates the door latch has jumped out of its plastic retainer/holder.

I bought only Nissans in the 80's and 90's and swore by them. I'll never own a Nissan again because they cheapened out everything by sticking plastic into areas that see a lot of movement and wear. I don't see any signs of them improving anything on a year to year basis based on complaints either, Kaizen or not.

And the last thing is I'm not taking it to one of their overpriced incompetent dealers for repairs.
