During a 1,600 road trip from Alberta to Saskatchewan (approximately 1700 kms roundtrip), the forward collision warning light came on approximately 25 times. Each time that it did, the cruise control would disengage. The warning light would eventually go off allowing me to set the cruise control once again. Then it would "beep" telling me the forward collision light was back on. As I said, this happened 25 times.
On the return trip, I contacted Red Deer Nissan (Jessie) who advised me that Nissan was aware of the problem and was working on a fix.
Today (September 4, 2024) someone from Nissan Canada called me to say, in effect, that there is no problem and that this is "normal operating procedure" for the NIssan. Imagine being on a long road trip and having your cruise control disengaged continually because of the forward collision light coming on. Then imagine having someone at Nissan telling you that this is "normal" and nothing is being done to "fix it".
