The speedclips which hold the Map Light in place are formed incorrectly. The interior teeth that retain the Map Light's molded retention tabs are bent too aggressively. Over time, in both our 2017 Rogue and 2019 Rogue, road vibrations caused the teeth to gnaw entirely through the plastic. This causes the Map Light to fall down and "deploy" suddenly into the driver's field of vision. When the map light falls, it not only startles the driver, it obstructs approximately 40-50% of the windshield. Nissan considers this a "cosmetic" issue and thus, it is not covered under ANY Nissan extended warranty. The cost to have it replaced with another part that will STILL fail in the exact same manner is over $1,200. This is a SERIOUS life safety issue since it is likely to fall at high speeds when the car naturally vibrates the most. It happened in 100% of the Rogues we have owned and always at highway speeds. It was repaired under the 3/36K factory warranty on our 2017, but now Nissan claims that it is a "cosmetic" and not covered under our "best you can get" Nissan extended warranty. Eventually, it will cause a serious accident and possibly death of both vehicle occupants and others on the road.

The automatic emergency braking system on my 2019 Nissan Rogue will come on and stop the car dead in its tracks for no reason or no obstruction in the way that should cause this to happen. I feel it is very unsafe as this has now happened to us while driving three times. and one day the warning indicator lights came on, but they don't stay on. It has been checked at Bristol Honda dealership in Bristol TN. and they did confirm that there is a malfunction with the brakes, however they also said they can't fix the problem, and we just purchased the vehicle from them May 30, 2022, just 4 months ago. also, the bright lights turn off and won't stay on but according to the dealership they turn off because it is too bright outside, which is absurd since I only use bright lights at night when it is dark. I feel this is very unsafe and could be deadly if not repaired or replaced.

The high Beam Assist feature of vehicle is malfunctioned and yes it's available for inspection upon request. If the vehicle speed is above 40mph the high beam is turning off and setting the low beam by default even if there are no vehicles insight. In the night the vehicle will be always in low beam mode and hence affects the visibility in the night putting in high risk. No, the problem hasn't been confirmed or reproduced by the dealer. No, the vehicle or component hasn't been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. No warning lamps.

On two separate occasions the Feb (forward emergency braking) light has started flashing while just driving down the road with no reason to come on. One time I was driving on a highway in heavy rain, just figured it because of the road conditions. Other time I was driving on a street, it was on a cold night, but had perfect road conditions and I was the only one on the road. Both occurrences happened while driving straight forward.
