The Fire Department arrived and pushed the vehicle to the nearest highway exit. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the RPM fluctuated, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where the DTC Code for the CVT judder was retrieved. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.
