At this point they need to open another class action lawsuit on behalf of the Nissan rogue owners who are experiencing transmission problems. A year ago Edison Nissan told me the loud banging noise I kept hearing on acceleration was part of my transmission. They couldn’t fix the issue and I had to wait for the transmission to completely die before anything could be done. I haven’t driven my car anywhere but local for the past year because I’m not about to break down and then get smashed from behind by cars or trucks.
Yesterday I brought the car in for yet another recall and also to let them know the car is not driving properly and it’s more than just the banging noise on acceleration. They of course didn’t care about any of my claims and dismissed me simply because my check engine light wasn’t on. My check engine light wasn’t on a year ago either and that didn’t stop them from telling me it was a transmission issue. Of course now the warranty is expired as of June. These dealerships are well aware of this problem because there are multiple Nissan Rogue owners experiencing the same problem. They intentionally send you off making the time to go by so that you are out of warranty forcing you to either pay out of pocket or pray you don’t break down and die somewhere.
Nissan consumer affairs refuses to do anything about it because the dealership didn’t have any diagnostic recommendations for them or a list of what is wrong. So now I have a car that is simply going to rot in the garage because I’m not about to keep driving a car that I know doesn’t drive correctly and I don’t feel safe in. I absolutely hate Nissan I hate the lack of service they provide and I would never recommend anyone purchase any of their vehicles.
