In September 2023, my 2016 Nissan started vibrating with noise. It was not shortly after that a warning appeared on the console. The warning, "Chassis Control System Error" caused research as the vehicle worsened. As I was driving, a warning of the brakes shutting down appeared. I returned home in time, and parked the vehicle. The truck was then sent to the mechanic where I was told that the transmission failed. The CVT failed at 83,000 miles. The vehicle is currently at a Nissan dealership service department, while I'm in the process of litigation with Nissan North America, Inc. Nissan offered just $1500 towards an estimated $6000 CVT repair bill. This problem is an extension of the 2022 Class Action Lawsuit that needs to be re-established. Nissan manufactured the vehicles with the knowledge of the defective CVT and did not make the consumers aware of the defect. Nissan dealerships also needs to be held accountable for their knowledge of the fraudulent act of Nissan to the consumers. Dealerships sold the vehicles also with the knowledge of the defective CVT. Nissan manipulated the law with a bogus extended warranty that protects Nissan from having to correct the wrong.

The left rear suspension arm has failed. This part supports the left rear tire and wheel assembly and its failure cause the left rear tire and wheel to tilt to about a 45 degree angle. The car was able to be safely stopped, although control was severely effected. Continued driving would likely have caused the tire and wheel to separate from the vehicle. See attached photo. It appears as if the rear suspension arm welds have broken and or the part has failed due to corrosion. It is a 2016 vehicle with only 105,000 miles. See attached photos. The last photo shows the right rear suspension link, undamaged, to illustrate the extent of degradation on the left side. The Girard Nissan dealership in Groton, CT informed me they have seen a number of cars with this problem, but there has been no recall. The provided a verbal order of magnitude estimate to repair the vehicle, based on photos, at $4,000 or higher.

The 2016 Rogue sl AWD makes a popping noise when making sharper turns in either direction such as when pulling into or out of parking spaces. It also does it when backing out and cutting the wheel. The car is low mileage and should not have this type of issue.

About a year ago (2018) my car started occasionally losing power after I had stopped at a light or stop sign after driving on a city street or getting off the highway. I would push the gas pedal and my car would not move until about 5 seconds later. If I keep driving while this happens, eventually the car will not go over 40 mph, the rpms will go up to 4K-5K and the engine will rev without gaining speed. It will then start lurching forward and jerking back and forth. I finally figured out that if I stop and then restart my car, the issue subsides. However, this issue has started happening more and more frequently. I would estimate driving the car for an hour, it will happen 7-8 times (when turning the car off, then on again). It makes driving dangerous when I am not able to accelerate when needed or when my car is jerking uncontrollably. My struts also keep squeaking when I go over speed bumps or any other bump. The dealer repeatedly tells me it's a known issue but nothing that needs to be replaced since it's not a safety issue.

I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue, I have took it in to have the struts replaced 6 times and is an on going issue and I have got in contact with Nissan and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Dealership stated they were aware of the issue and that my car was not the only Rogue doing this. The first time was about 3 months after I got the can September or October 2016 and muskogee Nissan replaced the struts and I left and want a block and it was still popping and tuned around and they looked over and I ended up having to order and replace the assembly. February 2018 front left side making popping noise over bumps and rubbing noise while turning took in to superior of fayetteville ar. Miles 25999 they replaced the struts on the left side. July 5,2018 took back to muskogee Nissan for the right front popping again and they could not tell if it was the struts or the bearings and ordered and took back in to replace, mind you this takes anywhere to 5 to 7 hours to fix and they have not one time ask if I need a vehicle. This has put me out of work and I do not expect to have issues with a new car at this time the car was under warranty and warranty will be up at 36,000 and I have at this time 34500.

I kept hearing a loud clicking or popping noise coming from the front of the car when turning left or right to maneuver in and out of parking spaces. I took the car to the dealer only to be told it was a bent piece of metal by a rotor. I drove the car from the dealer still hearing the popping noise. I called Nissan usa and got a case number. The noise got louder so I took the car back to the dealer on 12/16/17. The dealer told me it was the entire front suspension that had to be replaced. Miles on the car are approximately 24,000 and covered under the 36,000-mile warranty. I am glad the car is fixed but I am concerned that a $35,000 vehicle is requiring such major work when only a year and a half old.

A few months after purchasing my brand new 2016 Rogue, I noticed a noise coming from the front when I am backing up slowly and turning my wheels. I pointed this out to the Nissan dealer where I purchased it and they determined it was my struts and bearings that needed replaced. I then took it to a different Nissan dealer for a second opinion and they said they called Nissan headquarters about this problem and was told that there have been numerous complaints about this problem and they are not exactly sure what parts need to be replaced to solve the problem. Therefore, I continue to drive my new Rogue with a noise in the front and Nissan has no answers at this time.
