The battery died 1.5 weeks ago. I drove out of state and when I went to get in my car after work, the car wouldn’t start. I called AAA - they tried to jump start it but that didn’t work. It was towed to the nearest Nissan Dealership and they had 3 master techs working over 9 hours to find the problem. They never found the root of the problem, but the ECM, BCM, and TCM are no longer talking. At one point they got their code reader to read, and the only code coming up was a transmission code. However, they said that wasn’t causing the computer components to not work/respond.
I’m now having to purchase a new vehicle as the cost to replace these 3 modules plus put a new transmission is more than double what the vehicle is worth. Even with these repairs, they aren’t even sure that it would fix what is going on.
