Third time is the total bad luck charm! Water has again filled the floorboards on the car- both front and rear. The carpet is soaked, you hear sloshing. I was beyond frustrated as i had just had this “fixed” in April for the second time.

However, I drop at dealer for fixing - they say they will take care of it, no problem. But then they forget about my car for 4 weeks. Annoying, but i didn’t pester them given its not driven a lot, corona times mean i barely leave the house...

Well after sitting for 4-5 weeks when service takes a look - mysteriously the water is gone?! I think it evaporated and it will return. They ran every test under the sun, drenched with hoses, etc and still found nothing.

Beyond frustrated. This car was one i loved and now i wonder if i will even be able to sell it!

[sorry for all caps- i didn’t realize until i typed below] THIS IS UNFORTUNATELY A RECURRING PROBLEM IN MY 2015 ROGUE AWD, WITH SUNROOF. PROBLEM FIRST APPEARS IN MID March 2019. I HEAR SLOSHING IN THE CAR, FIGURED ITS A WATER BOTTLE OR MAYBE THE WINDSHIELD CLEANER BOTTLE IN THE BACK. BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING. AFTER NOT DRIVING THE CAR FOR AROUND 2 WEEKS [NOT UNCOMMON- I LIVE IN A CITY AND OFTEN WALK OR USE PUBLIC TRANSIT], I OPEN THE CAR AND AM KNOCKED OUT BY STENCH OF MOLD AND MILDEW. I GO OVER TO PASSENGER SIDE AND LIFT UP THE WEATHER-TECH MATS- THE CARPET IS SOAKED!

Take to the dealer- they claim clogged filters, maybe because I parked under a tree from time to time. Gets fixed for $800. Then i deal with the mold and mildew smell, paid $400 to get it detailed. Still a bit musty but figure it will fade.

FAST FORWARD- April 2020, the problem returns! I take to dealer, they now tell me is is clogged sunroof drains. Fixed for $1,100.

NOVEMBER 2020- You guessed it, the problem returns! I immediately take to the dealer- Kelly Nissan in Woburn. They promise to look at it, then forget about my car for 5 weeks.

By the time they do look at it, water is evaporated? Run lots of tests, can’t find anything wrong. Return car- it stinks.

The leakage has returned. It was noticed, because I normally try not to drive my vehicle when it's raining. We have had rain non stop. The rear window is leaking AGAIN. I had an oil change service and requested they check the rear window again. They checked, sprayed water directly on the area in questioned and found out where the leakage was coming from. They disassembled the rear panel and showed me that with the leakage; it will short out the rear electrical system causing another problem. They were supposed to provide me with the shop that could fix it, but it was not provided. I am attempting to get that information now.

I have gotten numerous calls from Nissan that are offering a good price for my vehicle; but I don't want to start over when this one is almost paid for.

I purchased the Rogue new on 1/31/2015. I notice it was wet a few months after purchased, but couldn't find out where the leakage was coming from. I normally wash my own vehicle; but this date I took it through the car wash and water was pouring through the rear window. When I took it in, the service department stated that this is common on the 2015 and something was blocked. They cleared it and I did not see more leakage. I hope the problem is corrected.

Used Nissan Rogue SL purchased in Aug 2018. The panaoramic sunroof/moonroof is the culprit of the water leak b/c the column is wet. I think that the drain pipes are clogged and need to be cleaned regularly from what I understand.

I've accepted that water can come into the cabin and soak the floor. Right now it is only on the passenger side, but the clean up is a pain. Using the shop vac, I can clean up what I can reach, but it pools somewhere that I cannot easily reach. We plan on keeping this car for life so please let me know if you also have this problem.

I'll update this as I discover more

Purchased 2015 Rogue SL in March 2015. June in Louisiana, going through the carwash and water poured out from under the steering column and onto my feet. Luckily I have the weather beater floor mats so it caught all of the water.

I drove directly to dealership, where they put me in a loaner and sent the car to have the seal around the windshield replaced- repair tech said that sometimes they come from the factory with a bubble or that the seal was just faulty.

Kept the car 3 days, got it back and immediately went through the car wash to make sure that it was fixed. Basically sat upside down with a flashlight to make sure.... No leaks.

Fast forward 3 weeks (and several washes later) the problem happened again. Less water this time but water none the less. This is my second report on this issue. Dealership is going to attempt to fix this leak again, but are also offering me "top dollar" (we shall see what they call top dollar, since this 32k car is now only showing a value of 26k on KBB.) on trade on another new car on their lot.

Not sure what I will do as far as this is my first brand new car purchase and I don't want to wind up more upside down than I already am. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
