The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It-??s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it-??ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let you close the lift gate.

There is water leak on Driver side floor and is covered under Nissan Service Bulletin NTB14-105a. The carpet is wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor and the source of the wetness is not caused by the air conditioning system.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that there was a strong damp and mold like odor coming from the front driver's side footwell location. The contact stated that the front driver's side footwell was continuously wet in rainy weather. Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated intermittently. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the wiring harness under the dash was inspected and lithium-based grease was applied on the wires coating for water protection; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed; however, no failure was found. The contact stated that the recall remedy was not effective since it did not address the water leak. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

My vehicle has a sun/moon roof. There are 2 drains that go down the side. The problem is there is a white piece of plastic that has plastic in the center at the bottom of the drain. If this gets clogged it causes the moon roof to leak water all over the interior. When this happened to me I was driving water and fell into my face and eyes. This was very unsafe. To fix the issue I used pliers to remove the inner plastic from the white plastic at the bottom of the drain. This should be recalled because there is no benefit to this center plastic. After water leaves the drain it goes out a 3 inch by 3 inch hole cut into the metal, then falls to the ground. There is no benefit restricting water out these drains. This will cause the sunroof to clog over and over again. This white piece of plastic should be replaced with a part that has no restrictions. This is poor design on Nissan's part. A clogged sun roof can cause water to fall into the drivers face, and it could ruin the interior.

Rear power liftgate opens and drops halfway on my head. This is not a one time problem. It's a defective liftgate issue where it opens to the top and then drops halfway every time the liftgate opens.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that the papers on her sun visor were significantly moist and the headliner was stained. The contact later noticed that the carpet was soaked and that the water stains had extended from the headliner to the interior door liner. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised the contact to vacuum the water out of the carpet. The contact vacuumed the carpet however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that while driving in the rain, water was leaking from the ceiling onto the front driver's and passenger's seats, the front driver's door, and the front passenger's door. The contact stated that the failure had caused mold to develop on the carpet and on some other parts inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who informed the contact that the carpet would be replaced at her own expense. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the front driver's power seat was inoperative and she had smelled a burning odor. The contact received the notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I have had to repair the rear window for leaking water through 2x. It is still a factory window but significant amounts of water was leaking. I had it repaired 2x, re-glued. But it is similar to the recall for the side door for the rogue. The water leaking caused electrical problems (doors lock/unlock on own, etc) but must've stopped once it was dry. The date listed is for the last repair but was repaired a few years prior also.

The hydraulics (?) in my manual lift gate suddenly failed. The hatchback slammed shut, and I barely ducked away in time. I was shaking.I thank God that my grandchildren weren-??t the one retrieving an item. They could have been killed or paralyzed. I saw that Nissan recalled the Rogue for tailgate problems, but was told my vehicle wasn-??t covered. (Nissan Case #44796538). This defect means no one can use my cargo space without risking life and limb. This happened approximately the first week in September. No warnings. Anyone is welcome to inspect my car. In my decades of car ownership, I have never had this happen on any vehicle. Scary.

Hood was inadvertently released by driver due to hood latch release's location next to the fuel door release. Driver then pulled out of gas station onto street. While traveling under 15 miles per hour and within a block, the hood flew upward, obscuring the driver's view, causing damage to the hood, fenders, and cowl filler pieces. Damage has been inspected by the insurance appraiser/body shop manager, who confirmed the hood release safety latch was "frozen" and only became operative after manually manipulating it several times. The same individual mentioned this was the second Rogue in less than a year where he had noted hood damage, again without affecting the windshield or the roof. Cause of damage in that case was only learned after the appraiser had questioned the driver and the driver mentioned that the hood had flown up in a prior unrelated incident.

Due to covid, working from home, shopping solely online and have virtual medical appointments. Rarely use car and it sat undriven for weeks. Water accumulating in moonroof drain caused hazardous mold issue in car interior. Was not warned and dealer did not apparently check drains. Have breathing issues and mold is a health issue. I believe this is a design flaw and health hazard. At minimum buyers should be warned this can happen. It is nowhere in owners or service manuals. Repair is approx 1/3 price of a new car. Insurance does not cover. Check drains during routine maintenance visits.

On the trunk door, there is rusting, especially around the Nissan emblem. On the top of the trunk door, on the spoiler, there is a lot of rusting and scratches started to appear out of nowhere, some of them are very small and better noticed when looking closely or zooming in on a photo. Surface feels rough. The vehicle has not been taken to any car wash places. The scratches and rusting seem to only appear at this spot. My other vehicles, including another Nissan, have all been taken care the same way and they do not have this type of rusting. The rusting was first noticed in late spring during covid-19 quarantine when the vehicle was not driven much, and it appears to have gotten worse since then. Nissan called this a "color distortion", which I do not believe it is since the surface feels rough. I talked to a color specialist and he is certain that it was a manufacturing issue. I also did research about other Nissan owners having the same issue, and it seems to be common. A vehicle should not start rusting like this only 5 years in use.

4 passengers in our AWD rouge (2015), with a panoramic sunroof, were driving on 1-85 from las vegas, nv back to salt lake city, ut on 12/08/2019, in the county of beaver about 30 miles from fillmore, ut, at about 75 mph (80 mph interstate speed zone), when all of the sudden, we hear a loud crashing sound. There were no vehicles around us on the road, so we were all extremely terrified. The car had become very loud at that point, and we immediately pulled over to side of the road. We found that the panoramic sunroof had combusted, literally spontaneously. It was completely wrecked and for no reason at all. We took it to a small service station as soon as we could, but we were in the middle of small towns when this happened. All they were able to do was allow us to vacuum up the glass. A few of us had cuts on our bodies, so we bandaged those up while there as well. We called insurance, there were no other cars involved fortunately, as there were no other vehicles closely around us when it exploded. The insurance company said we would have to pay a $1,000 deductible for the incident to be repaired. Obviously, this was concerning because this was nothing of our doing. This was simply because of the poor design of the sunroof, and has happened to others as well. Nissan should pay for the damage, and in fact, should re-call all vehicles with sunroofs to install a better designed sunroof with appropriate glass. Had we had our soft top inside open, there is no telling what would or could have happened as we were driving at an interstate speed. After reviewing the other stories of this happening, this needs to be rectified immediately for the safety of drivers with sunroofs with this design before something fatal happens. I will be joining the class-action lawsuit already open on this exact scenario that has happened to several other people.
