The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle was stalling and jerking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to pull over safely and waited for 30 minutes before continuing to drive. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed; however, the mechanic found no failure. The vehicle was driven to the residence and then taken to another independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the torque converter was faulty and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,928.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at a low rate of speed, the vehicle began to jerk as the check engine light illuminated the instrument panel. As the contact continued to drive, the vehicle would not accelerate above 5 MPH. Once the contact and her husband made it home she had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact called County Line Nissan North(522 Winsted Rd, Torrington, CT 06790) and Balise Nissan of West Springfield(500 Riverdale St, West Springfield, MA 01089), and both referred her to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered no assistance. The vehicle was towed back to the contact's house and had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000
2013 Nissan Rogue. Consumer writes in regard to transmission failure. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE TRANSMISSION WAS OUT OF WARRANTY.
