really awful
drivetrain problem
I used the AWD in my vehicle in February when the Washington Metropolitan area had the 2016 Blizzard. I noticed after using the AWD periodically I would hear a slight knocking sound when I made wide turns. The sound went for periodically to the all the time. I took my vehicle to the Nissan dealer on yesterday Aug 2, 2016 and was told that the Rear differential was failing and it would cost $2500 to fix. Last year this time the Air Conditioner failed, I currently have 82,000 miles on the car. It was purchased to be able to go back and forth to SC since I have an elderly father that lives there. I can't afford to keep putting money in this car the reason I purchased a new car was to prevent this.

Back out of my driveway today and heard a very loud cracking noise. Pulled back in and got out and looked and fluid trail where I had backed up and puddle of fluid under the vehicle. inspection found the differential case was cracked and of course all the fluid had leaked out. Do not know what caused this, but would like to know if this is a problem for Nissan or am I on my own. Has anyone else had this problem??
