The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled or decelerated while driving 10 mph. On another occasion, the vehicle would not exceed 60 mph. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the continuously variable transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
