Transmission replaced on my 2010 Nissan Rogue on 07/23/2018, with 147,169 miles and cost $3885.94, was told it was a new transmission. 18 months later, a new transmission is needed, which will cost another 3885.94 to have done again, car has 172,000 miles. Warranty has run out 12 months or 12,000. I was informed there is nothing that Nissan or the dealership can do. So it appears, if I keep this vehicle, I may need to get the transmission replaced every 18 months at a cost of almost $4,000. My husband and I have the following other Nissan: 2011 Pathfinder - 168,000 miles, 2010 Titan - 189,000 miles, 2006 Nissan Armada with over 390,000 miles, 1996 Nissan Sentra (engine replaced 10 years ago and still drive-able) - 205,000 miles and a 1989 Nissan Frontier - 215,000. The 2010 Rogue is the only Nissan that's been having issues, the other Vehicle have the original parts, with no issues; however, Nissan is not standing behind the fact of the Rogue having a CVT issue and is passing on the cost to the consumers. if a consumer has a rogue and their vehicle has more than 120,000 miles, please be aware because you may very well need a transmission very soon. I will be selling all of my Nissan vehicles and switching over to either Honda or Toyota. Nissan is fully aware of the issue and instead of stepping up and having a recall for all cars no matter the mileage, Nissan isn't standing behind the fact of switching over to CVT was a mistake and is costing the consumers dearly. I will be continue to complain and go as high as needed to be heard!!!
