I have spent a lot of time researching this problem on the Internet and I have come up with nothing. The mechanics at my local Nissan dealership claim to have never seen anything like this before; the steering wheel locking up while driving it, the violent jerking. The fact that the steering wheel completely locks up while the car is in motion is a huge hazard to me and the other drivers on the road.

I am not sure if I am missing something in my research but there is no way that my Rogue is the only one this has happened to. I am not sure what route I should take to contact Nissan about this but it is something that they should know about. I also think that I should not be responsible for paying for this. I have put out nearly $1500 to fix this problem that could have killed me, my passengers, or other drivers on the road. The fact that the dealership wants to deem it hazardous to drive but they won't contact Nissan for me is ridiculous.
