This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The ABS and slip lights illuminate on the dash and the ABS system begins to engage randomly. The car bucks and jolts as it slows down rapidly. This of course is very unsafe. This has happened 4 times over the past month. The dealer has had the car a couple weeks at a time and can't recreate the problem so they won't replace any parts. The dealer claims this is a decision made by Nissan and if the dealer replaces the parts they will have to pay for them. We even provided them video tape from a phone of this occurring. The service manager tells us Nissan has never had this problem which is hard to believe when there are many web-site posts of the same problem in many Nissan vehicles. It's just a matter of time until someone is critical injured or killed.
