So, I notice rust on my less than 3 year old Nissan Quest in March, bring it to dealer in April only to be told it is over the mileage warranty. Spoke with 3 different Nissan customer relations specialists including a supervisor who all “understood†and apologized repeatedly. They are “standing behind their product†by offering to pay 80%. Sounds good except that the repair bill is estimated at $2500 leaving a $500 bill For rust on a 3 year old car.
The supervisor was the least helpful and rather parental, as she told me she was doing me a favor by paying for part of the repair. So I spend 3 hours of my unpaid and hassle filled time talking with paid reps for a company. Nissan - hire less reps and use the money to cover your faulty product. 3 hours on the phone and awful impression of this company. I also see this is a known problem with rust around the chrome trim on the Rogue hatchback as well. No more Nissan in my future. Buyer beware!
