The same thing is happening with my 2017 Nissan Qashqai. They said there is a computer chip they need to reprogram and that I need to bring my car in. I live 4 hours away though so I haven't had a chance. My car has stalled a few times on me since but it seems to be starting much better now.

I bought a 2017 Nissan Qashqai in February of this year (2018). I started noticing an unusually long cranking time to start after the vehicle has sat all night. When I run it throughout the day, it seems to start fine. I have informed my dealership about it, but they need the vehicle overnight and they did not have a loaner to give me, so I have not brought it to them unless they can give me a loaner. Instead they told me to record it on my cellphone, lol.

I purchased a 2017 qashqai In February 2018 with 522 km on it from the dealership. About 2 months in I was having a hard time starting the car. Every time it would sit for longer than 3 hours it would have a long crank time in order to start it.

I brought it into the dealership and they said they were going to re-program the vehicle and the problem would be solved. When I picked it up it was ok for about a week and then started again.

I have now been without my vehicle for 2 weeks. The dealership did give me a loaner vehicle but I have to take the 407 for work everyday and I have had to start taking the 401, for anyone living in the gta you know how inconvenient this is.

Angela the service manager at Alta Nissan was wonderful, she called me every other day to give me an update and said that they were sourcing out the problem with tech but today she called to tell me that they were unable to fix the car but the car is drivable and there are no safety concerns, only that it sounds like I’m driving a 20 year old vehicle..

She offered me an extended warranty on it since they can’t fix it, but for a brand new vehicle which I will have for the next 5 years I think this is ridiculous. I am now looking for other people who have had a similar situation and asking if they have had anything done about this. I am also looking to see if I would be able to break my lease as I will not be driving this vehicle with this condition for the next 5 years.

Help!!!!
