I bought a 2015 Nissan qashqai at a local dealership in Trinidad and Tobago September 2014, my frustrations of owning a new vehicle began from the very next day when the vehicle refused to start. It was towed into the local dealership and after some days of troubleshooting the car was determined to be a dud. I waited till November to receive another qashqai. My problems did not stop there.
Nine months later the radiator fan began making noise. I took it in again where it was replaced. a few days later the passenger window refuse to work again it was kept a couple days to replace. Weeks later the battery died and once again it had to be towed.
To date three radiator fans and three batteries had to be replaced. While all this was covered by warranty the inconvenience I experience from owning a new car has turned to misery. I have owned 6 Nissan pre owned cars and I believed in the brand as the best. Last week I encountered a new problem I heard rattling coming from the engine bay. Once again it was taken to the dealership and this time it was determine that the ac compressor was faulty. By this time I was totally fed up with all the trips to dealership as I consider this car to be another dud and should be replaced. The service center I went to gave me a date three weeks later for repairs.
This was not acceptable, as I would have to do without the ac and more damage can be done by driving. I was told to query my complaint to the main service center, which I did. I requested a complimentary vehicle until repairs can be carried out. Eventually I was told Nissan would not honor the warranty. I was told that services history at the dealership was poor. I am very upset. I offer to prove by record that all maintenance was carried out on time.
Because of my job I am away on a month on, month off rotation. And most times my certified mechanic did checks and changed lubricants to manufactures specifications. My local dealership had no problem carrying out all my repairs before. But because my warranty is close to the expiry date I believe is the reason for their refusal to carry out repairs. I have no choice as to send my complaint for any advice moving forward. I am a very dissatisfied. I would like this vehicle repaired or replaced and at not my expense. I look forward to and response or advice.
