Update from Mar 11, 2016: Since October 2014 I have observed a transmission problem with the reverse gear. Specifically, the issue I have observed is as follows: The car is completely stopped, the reverse gear is selected and while accelerating (backwards) the gear disengages. This happens when driving with 2 WD, Auto or Lock, either having ESP on or off. This is a serious safety issue in the case of a dangerous situation when the reverse drive is needed. I am sending you this email as the guarantee period is running out and I demand this important issue to be resolved as soon as possible.
I received an email from the official local Nissan garage informing me that this problem occurred in many more Qashqai's 1.6 dCi, 6 speed manual (130 hp) as also in new ones (2014 - present models). This is an initial design and manufacture issue/fault that needs to be investigated and provide a solutions to Qashqai owners even if the guarantee is expired.
