I brought a demonstration model nissan pulsar in 2004 and found it was consuming oil which after oil consumption test was in the prescribed warranty range so nothing was done. I had a few consumption tests done over the years eventually in 2010 i realized i was putting oil in every second day so went back to nissan and they told me i would have to pay as i only had extended warranty and it did not cover much. they did some tests which i had to pay for and eventually they did make me an offer to fix the problem even though each time they said they would not know what the problem was until they opened the engine and how much i would have to pay was unstated. By this time i distrusted them completely and did not go ahead. I have always used the nissan service and i would recommend people not to use this service. Eventually in May 2011 my engine stopped and I found a mechanic that told me that the Nissans pulsars had a major problem (factory fault and that nissan had made a part to fix the problem). so essentially they always said they did not know what the problem was and got me to pay for tests which they knew would do no good. so i would suggest people never buy a nissan. My car is fixed now by a mechanic that knew what the problem was and I thank God for that. I
