CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2017 was redesigned with new fascia and headlights, but what will be particularly interesting to watch will be the new, direct-injected V6 engine with CVT. Nissan's history with CVTs has been shaky at best.

Pathfinders were rated for 6,000 lb. towing capacity and a 900 lb. tongue weight. This vehicle would not handle what my last SUV did easily. My last vehicle was rated for 5,000 lb and 600 lb. tongue weight. Same trailer, same payload and the Pathfinder failed. Front end was raised so much the steering became light and traction was reduced. Clearly unsafe and it never saw the highway.
Pathfinders have a negative rake, weak rear coils and a predisposed to fail as a tow vehicle. Don't believe the ratings. Test with your trailer before you buy.
