I don't understand how Nissan company know about these issues and won't even take care of it. People need to know about these issues before buying, and also know that they are going to be safe in their vehicles. The shaking and jerking can really mess a lot of things up. I just hope my voice is heard and that the companies can do something about these issues before it claims a life.

Just spent 2,000 trying to get it fixed. Took car back twice to be repaired, next day same problem.

Car jerks violently when accelerating. Six coil packs replaced drove fine nest day same. Please tell me if there is anything that can be done. Is this a problem with this make and model. It has been doing this for awhile but not so violently.

Nissan Pathfinder that's hardly used, parked most of the time with 85k miles and starts to have transmission problems. I have 2 more years to pay off this car. I took it to Nissan dealer and they say it needs a new transmission and they will only cover 50% of cost. Ridiculous! This is a defective part and there is a lawsuit for this same CVT transmission issue but for 2015 models and up. Why are they not covering this defect at 100%? I will never buy Nissan again.

Pathfinder

  • CVT transmission

I have had to get a new ac compressor, fan relay motor, mass airflow sensor last year and I continue to have the issue with the jerking/vibrating when I go to accelerate and each time there was never a code given besides mass airflow sensor. Now I'm being told by Nissan that it's the cvt sub assembly and that it can't be covered under warranty due to my mileage so basically even if a vehicle is passed the 84,000 warranty that Nissan has. It still has the same issues but no code shows up even if check engine light comes on.
