I bought a Nissan believing that it would hold its resale value but who in their right mind would buy my Pathfinder when they take it for a test drive and the CVT shutters?? So now I feel stuck with this vehicle and faced with myriad other repairs. I had a 3rd party warranty that expired just weeks before the issue surfaced and it was too late to have it covered under the warranty. I was told a new transmission could be required but of course the garage could not confirm without removing and inspecting the CVT at significant cost. I was also told that the repair/replacement was going to be high. Nissan should stand behind their product and fix this issue no charge.
