This 2014 Pathfinder has been at a Nissan dealership for 5 out of the last 6 weeks after the vehicle began to have transmission and acceleration issues. Original transmission replaced at 800 miles less than one year earlier. Nissan dealer that sold the vehicle is 40 miles away, and was not concerned enough to take care of this issue. Local dealership (Ken Pollock) took vehicle into service this issue and was able to duplicate the problem after driving for 164 miles.
The mechanic also noted that the brake lights were not going out when parked, and after calling Nissan technical assistance , he was told to replace the brake light switch. We picked up the vehicle the following day, and after driving around town for several hours the vehicle began to lose power again. We returned the vehicle to the dealership , and they have not been able to duplicate the issue. Nissan -USA has not made a decision on this vehicle to date. I will not take possession of this vehicle until I'm assured that the power issue is fixed. This power loss problem is extremely dangerous, and a recall needs to be issued for the 2013-2014 Pathfinder model .
