I have a 2014 Nissan Platinum Pathfinder that has been great until the past three months. I recently had to put a new transmission in my suv. Well worth the $$$ because the car is paid off and I did not want to purchase a car. .However, I found out there was a recall on the transmission for all 2013-2014 pathfinders. But because my suv exceeded the mileage my suv didn't qualify to have it replaced.(It's BS) I had 2 recalls completed. However, for the past 2 months I have had an issue with my car losing acceleration while driving or even shutting off. I was on highway when my car lost power. It did not start back up until about 20 minutes later. Then it happened again on the highway only this time I had to have it towed.
At that point I replaced the battery since it was the original. I had a camshaft position sensor replaced. I also had the brake light lamp switch replaced for a 2nd time. This was a recall I originally had done at a Nissan Dealership. But for some reason it was put in backwards. I get my car serviced faithfully and it looks like a 2018 pathfinder. However, my mechanic can't seem to figure out why it still continues to shut off. I had alternator replaced last week. I have seen the complaints with other people regarding this issue. Why hasn't Nissan done anything about this. This is my 3rd Nissan vehicle. I have called Nissan numerous times to complain but get brushed off. It's a shame I have such a nice car, paid off, looks new, but due to an electrical problem nobody seems to know where this issue is coming from. Between the new transmission and misc repairs I have put 10k into my car this year and with no help from Nissan.
Thanks Nissan! I will never buy another one of your vehicles again.
