We purchased this car new on 02/14, we took a weekend trip to Disney Orlando , on the highway going and returning , we catch bugs on the front of the vehicle , which is normal as we have done this trip many of times in past with our previous vehicle, but this time when we get home we wash the car and these stains appear on the hood and front part of roof of the vehicle. We took it to a dealer , the sales manager brought it in to their detail department to see if they could correct this, but were not able to. He stated that it was not a warranty issue. We didn't know what else can be done. In August we called Nissan regarding the issue, they suggested we take it to the service department so they can take pictures and forward it to them. They did so and Nissan stated that it was not covered because it was caused by an environmental issue. We have made trips to Orlando, with prior vehicles came back and washed the car , and never had any issues with the paint on any vehicle. In addition I have seen a couple of other Pathfinders same color as mine (black) with same issues. I believe this is a factory issue with the quality of the paint. I will be taking the car to another dealer, but as per Nissan the dealer makes the final determination. I think there are quite of few vehicles like this out there.
