A few months ago I was crossing and intersection, pressed the gas and nothing happened. I took my foot off and pressed again, nothing happened. As the honking commenced, I began to shake my head and regret ever getting this car because of the litany of issues. I tried one more time before I put on my flashers and it jerked hard then went. Since then it has happened maybe 7 times. I know I can take my foot off the gas count to 5 then press it again and it then works, but in the last 2 rounds that has not worked as well as before. I have not taken it to the dealership becuase it is just one depressing interaction after another there. Visors broke , that will be $575 ( nope bought them online and did it myself for $160), Door handle broke, that will be $325 ( nope $15 from Amazon and a you tube video), Remaining 3 door handles ( $15 each Amazon) , Motor on back hatch ( cant recall cost but I did it myself) . I did have to get a mechanic to replace the engine fan when the bearings went bad. After doing some internet research on this super common gas pedal issue, I am under the impression if I go to the dealership they will tell me the computer has an issue ( simply becuase it is not generating an issue) and hit me up for $2400 ish , and achieve zero ... I hate this car. It was designed amazing, but the materials were apparently sourced from some back alley in a 3rd world country.
