CarComplaints.com Notes: There are no warning signs of the same "radiator leaked and killed my transmission" complaints that have plagued previous model years.
For earlier Pathfinder model years (2005-2008), a defect in the radiator allows engine coolant to leak into the transmission. However this defect doesn't appear to affect Pathfinders from 2009 & later. Nissan did include the 2010 model when they extended their radiator warranty on 2005-2010 Pathfinders to 8 years/80,000 miles in response to the transmission defect.

I like my Pathfinder but I am VERY disappointed that the DVD system is constructed so poorly. It was factory installed and we never used it, it was just part of the package. I was driving home from work not to long ago and I heard weird noises. All of a sudden the whole DVD unit fell off the roof, this could have been very bad had a child or someone been in the back seat. It was hanging by the electrical cord.
When I went to the dealer to see if this was a common occurrence and if they could get me a new bracket they said it wasn't common and the bracket was $2500.00 not including the labor to install or taxes. I was stunned it is a plastic part. I can not find any replacement parts, everyone says I have to get it through the dealer. I wouldn't even fit this but there is an open whole in my roof now. I have thought of putting an after market unit up or just putting a console unit in to cover the hole. This is a cheap design and there should be a less expensive fix.
