CarComplaints.com Notes: While there are fewer "radiator leaked into transmission" complaints for the 2008 model year, they are starting to pile up. Buyer beware.
Nissan has extended their radiator warranty on 2005-2010 Pathfinders to 8 years/80,000 miles. However the average mileage for transmission failure for earlier model years is 95,000 miles, which conveniently (for Nissan) is just past the limit of their extended warranty. Owners beware.

It is disgusting to get transmission problems only at 10,000 km for a new car. There is no connection between the manual gear box and the engine transmission. The car does not move at all in any gear.
I bought the car with the intension to drive it during vacation and Holidays from my place of work which is Moscow, Russia to my place of residence which is Chisinau, Moldova- a distance about 1,400km in one direction. I drovein January 2009 from Chisinau to Moscow and then in April from Moscow to Chisinau and back. In the end of July I drove from Moscow to Chisinau for Annual Leave. At this moment I can't leave Chisinau as the vehicle completely broke and does not move. It is horrible and stressful especially when I have to be back at work in the regional UN office in Russia and my son at school.
