CarComplaints.com Notes: While there are fewer "radiator leaked into transmission" complaints for the 2008 model year, they are starting to pile up. Buyer beware. Read more »
Nissan has extended their radiator warranty on 2005-2010 Pathfinders to 8 years/80,000 miles. However the average mileage for transmission failure for earlier model years is 95,000 miles, which conveniently (for Nissan) is just past the limit of their extended warranty. Owners beware.
Replacing the computer and wiring is a very upsetting issue as I had planned to trade for another Nissan only months away. I had actually been to the dealership getting their trade in allowance just a week prior. I even had the hand out trying to decide the trim on the Maxiam I had planned to purchase. The Pathfinder was a fairly decent truck and had only minor issues. My family bought the truck new and I would have classified it as dependable until then. Unfortunately for Nissan this set back has changed my mind on the new Maxima which I had also owned in the past. I am going back to Honda which I always had good luck with in my younger years.
Nissan may still be quality but this $2500 repair bill right before trade off soured me on their product. 😢
Sorry Nissan you just lost a loyal customer.
Very disappointed in Texas!!!
