Twice today, while completely stopped at a traffic light, my Pathfinder accelerated without provocation. My husband, a law enforcement officer with years of experience driving SUVs, had serious trouble getting the truck to brake. If he hadn't left extra room between himself and the dump truck in front of him, there would have been a collision.
He took the truck over to Priority Nissan. They're very nice, but the computer couldn't find a problem, and they had no solutions. They are going to look into the problem/research it, but currently have no solution for us.
I'm terrified to drive the truck now, especially with our daughter in tow. I'm not as strong as my husband, either, but I've read that I should put the truck in neutral as I try to brake, should this happen while I'm driving.
I've read of this same problem from other Nissan drivers...I hope something is done to remedy the problem.
