CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2005-2007 Pathfinder appears to have a widespread defect where coolant leaks into the transmission, causing transmission failure around 90,000 miles. Repair costs are typically upwards of $3,500.
According to the New York Times & a class action lawsuit, the defect actually extends through 2010 model year. More info here.
My gauge for the fuel level failed, also the dte reads only dashes.
Very disappointed with poor quality from Nissan, and lack of responsiveness from the dealership also. I sent my pathfinder to the dealership for repair. First they said that it was a sensor on the fuel tank, they said they changed it and they also said that everything was fine, I took the pathfinder back home and failed again, and the same story of going back to the dealership happened three times. At the fourth time of them failing to repair, they said that they now need to change the complete control panel, and they want to charge for it also.some 700kusd. It seems they don´t really know how to fix it, At this point after 6 months it still doesn't work properly, hopefully some one knows on this webpage knows how to fix it, let me know. in the meanwhile I am going to try outside dealership shops.
