I have no control at all for the cruise control. It won't even switch on. It seems to be part of a gradual decline in the steering wheel mounted components.

I have the late 2006 model that had upgrades fitted to it before delivery that gave me the 6 stacker CD and the better stereo, along with some other modifications that became standard on the 2007 model.

(The problem has continued to grow - first the stereo control buttons on the steering wheel, then air bag warning light started flashing, then buttons to control the display and trip meters went next, then the cruise control buttons, and now the horn won't work.

Update from Aug 10, 2014: I used the link on the home page to chat with a Nissan expert on line - he diagnosed my problem as a faulty Clock Spring (also known as a Spiral Cable).

My local dealer confirmed the diagnosis and completed the repairs for just under AU$500.
